Hotel in Paris
I have been to Paris many times.
My kids are now old enough to appreciate it, so we're planning a big trip to Paris (I have enough miles for 4 Biz tickets).
Can anyone recommend a good hotel for 4 in paris? We're looking at going in the May 2002 timeframe.
(I normally stay in the Novotel in La Defense or Suresnes, but I want to find something closer to town, and fun, but not too expensive!) -thanks Jerry

Welcome to FlyerTalk! Hope you and your family have a wonderful time in Paris. In addition to replies you may receive in this thread, you might also want to check out some recent topics regarding hotel recommendations in the City of Light:

Jerry--You should check out the Citadines aparthotel chain. It has a number of good locations throughout Paris. We are staying at the St. Germain location (on the left bank of the Seine, directly across from Ile de la Cite) in Nov. Here is a recent thread--a Paris FlyerTalker was kind enough to check out some of the locations for me too.

More information at these two web sites:
http://www.citadines.com/ukindex0.htm
http://www.citadines.net/paris.htm
You can also book the Citadines through Expedia. Go to your dates for Paris, then sort by name including Citadines.
We will be there in November, if you want more information then.

3 family type hotels:
1. Lenox, Montparnass. It's near bus- and Metro stations.
2. Lenox, Saint-Germain, Rue Universite. Very centraly located. Early booking!
From Michelin:
Rooms are a little on the small side, but attractively decorated and with an air of tasteful luxury. Egyptian frescos adorn the breakfast room. Art deco-style bar.
3. Hotel Suede (=Sweden). Some rooms have view of the park from the prime minister; 24 hour security.
Best source is Guide Michelin:
