JFK - ZRH/CDG-JFK. Ideas? Tips? Se il vous plaît
Dear everyone,
Quick questions. Here are some stats first:
AAdvantage miles: ~160,000 miles
Departing JFK/EWR -> ZRH landing around 1:40PM on June 18, 2015
Arriving CDG -> JFK/EWR landing around Late Morning on June 29, 2015
Questions:
1) Are award tickets refundable? Are they dependent on the operator/carrier? If so, would you get the miles back or in the form of a voucher?
2) Should I book each leg separately? Departing then arrival?
3) Which are the best carriers in your opinion for European travel?
4) Should I take layover somewhere? Could you please help me advise me to create an itinerary?
5) Could I technically transfer my miles from AAdvantage to Alaksa Airlines and since Alaska is a partner with Emirates then transfer the miles to Emirates and book on there? What are some thought? Is this even possible?
6) How can I book on a One World partner airline? When I search AAdvantage, the only search results I get are from American Airlines and British Airways.
Happy New Year Everyone! Thanks!

Multiple cross posting is not recommended on FlyerTalk. You have an active thread in the proper airline forum, so we will close this now.
