2 nights in paris (help)
My wife and I are spending 2 nights in Paris at the end of a 2 week romp around Italy, and the UK. We are trying to find a place to stay without dumping 250 euro a night... I am an SPG man so I want to be loyal (there is a ridiculous rate at the Le Meridien Etoile right now for 130usd a night), but people claim that starwood should be avoided on a romantic getaway. The other problem I encounter is a million hotels from reviews that charge a premium but seem run down...
anyone have some suggestions or ideas? the nights are April 30th-may2nd. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in Advance,
Luke

I just stayed in this hotel for two nights at 244 Euro for both nights and booking it on this site, got breakfast included. I thought the hotel exceeded the price to quality ratio. I was in this lovely room, #500 I believe, that was off the street and quiet. The hotel was a block from a metro stop and a short walk to the Gare de Lyon.

Actually the travelzoo rate for the LM Etoile is €113! Normally I would suggest another hotel, but if you value Starpoints then this is the best choice. You are only going to be in the hotel to sleep, so stay there and spend your waking hours out in Paris.
If that promo price isn't available, and you want something priced nice, central and romantic, I suggest the Hotel Jardin du Luxembourg for about €135.

You could also consider Hotel Dauphine in the 6th, very close to the Seine, Notre Dame, and all the sights and actions of Saint-Germain and the Latin Quarter. On TripAdvisor the hotel rates very well, 4.5 out of 5. Check the reviews:

And a double starts at EUR109 according to the hotel's website.

homeaway.com and vrbo.com have apartment / condo / house for rental with wide range in price if you would consider this. There are typically 3-night min. but there would be a few places that would rent for 2 nights.
We prefer rental over hotel when we travel especially with family.
Good luck!

Unless I already knew of a specific apartment and one or more people who had stayed there, I would not seek one for a two night stay. There is just too much due dilligence to do on the apartment and the owner-a hotel will be much, much easier.

Hey, you can find numerous beautiful hotels under 250 euros a night!
I like this hotel : http://www.elysees-paris-hotel.com/ . It's in the 16th, close to the Champs Elysees and the Arc de Triomphe. I think you can book a double room from 105 euros. The same for the hotel Etoile Trocadero http://www.paris-hotel-trocadero.com/ .
This hotel http://www.hostelleriedumarais.com/ is in the Marais. This is a beautiful hotel, very clean, and pretty design, with a good staff.
I also like the hotel Moliere, in the 1st arrondissement http://www.hotel-moliere.fr/ . The style of this hotel is very different. It's more "frenchie", but I don't know exactly what kind of hotel you are looking for...
Anyway, these all are really pleasant. I have good memories of them.

The hotel Napoleon is a little on the expensive side, prices starting at 175euros i believe. It's a wonderful hotel located right next to the Arc of Triomphe.
It has excellent reviews on Tripadvisor!:-:

I just recently went to the Bellechasse Hotel for an important business briefing, it's a wonderful hotel not far from the Eiffel tower and the Seine.
