Both and could throw Bollinger in, too. I'm not a big France expert myself, but I guess considering our preferences it would be wisest to fly into CDG and take a train from there.

I have some experience on French public transport and I have to say that they don't excel in keeping up with the time tables. To get to the above mentioned Champagne houses you have to take 2 or 3 trains which might make things tricky if running on a tight schedule. And there's always a possibility to strikes.

There are agencies selling one day trips to Champagne area from Paris. This might be a safer option.

I checked the routing and getting from CDG to Champagne will take around 4h.

By driving it would only take about 1,5 hours to drive to Champagne from CDG. Doing it between the first and the last AY flight in and out of CDG would probably allow one champagne house timewise.
OH-LGG and manywhere like this.

If there actually is this much interest, I think this might be arranged.

CDG 2 is only a RER and TGV station. RER is part of Paris urban transport and cannot be purchased online. TGV does not go to Champagne area. As such, you won't find any reasonable connections online.

In practice, you would need to take the RER to North station, then walk to East station, and take a local train from there (the later, you can purchace online).

There is the Gare de Champagne-Ardenne TGV station near Reims with direct connection to CDG (about an hour) but you have to take another train from there to get close to the champagne houses.

7 October is in the lead in our poll (sorry, intuition & Jainzar!). Should we choose that or wait for some more people to voice their opinions?
