All the "titans" make 7 figures a year at least.

Had no idea Mr. Bowtie had relationship issues. I finally got tired of his stories about his mother in law visiting India and the rooms she picked so stopped reading.

Same way Mr. Ford is ruining it at another blog.

People like to tell themselves this so that they don't get depressed/upset when they hear what the real "hogs" get away with as far as MS. There are some people that have a real talent for this stuff or gain enough information from channels other than FT for their info.

That's a pretty big guess. Maybe a year or two ago it may have been easy to assume this, but I'm not sure they aren't making a killing like they once use to.

Maybe they are "ruining" it for you, but I have to believe that someone like Ben closely monitors his traffic and sign up numbers. There may be some negative feedback in the comments, but I have to believe that Ben would rethink featuring his relationship if it meant a noticeable dip in his income.

Always seems to devolve to income speculation around here...

At any rate, which bloggers death are we predicting? Or should the thread title have said "Blogs" instead

Randy Petersen said it on the RS article i believe. There are only a handful of titans.

TPG, OMAAT, VTFW, MMS , maybe put in FrequentMiler and Milevalue.

That's about it. The rest are 2nd tier and making at most couple thousand a month.

Not to be rude, but I cannot take you seriously if you have the opinion MileValue is making 7 figures. No ground is gained discussing their income, but that one definitely gave me a chuckle.

What about MommyPoints? She seemed to quickly do very well.

Seems their label of a titan is this:

Taking that she got dropped as a Chase affiliate last month and MileValue is not an affiliate either seems like it would be a stretch to call them titans under that definition.

If you want to keep chase/amex/barclaycard affiliate links on your blog you have convert 100-150 applications per month. Each application pays the blogger 100-250$ in commission. You do the math.

Er, because I run probably the biggest one-man non-North American blog?

Some do, many don't.
And it's more complicated than conversions these days. It's about referring profitable customers, which is why you'll continue to see a thinning of the ranks this year.
