VIE to Salzburg train question
First, thank you in advance to anyone who can help.
We are going to VIE and plan to take a train directly from VIE to Salzburg and, ultimately, return to VIE from Salzburg via train.
In looking at the OBB web page, there are a number of choices for Flughafen and I want to make sure we make the correct choice before purchasing a round-trip ticket.
It appears that the two choices that leave me a bit confused are the following: one is listed as "Flughafen Wien Bahnhof" or "Flughafen Wien".
Which is the choice for the train from the VIE airport direct to Salzburg?
Again, thank you in advance!!!

You should choose Flughafen Wien Bahnhof. Please be careful not to board the CAT train and instead go on the Oebb train.
Also, buying two one-way tickets may be to your advantage; further, sometimes a Vienna-Munich ticket is cheaper (the train always stops in Salzburg, allowing you to disembark if you wish).

Where is OBB station and time to get there?
We will be arriving on BA flight from LHR.
How far is Railjet station from baggage claim?
Best way to get there?
How much time to get luggage/passport control/travel to OBB station?
Thank you for any additional info you can provide!

Follow the signs.
VIE is generally quite efficient, although as everywhere else in Europe, there are tougher controls to enter the Schengen space now. I would plan a 90 min connection or so.
- For a hassle free travel buy flexible tickets. Cheaper tickets are valid for a defined train only.
- Should you have travelled with OS you could have bought an integrated plane + train ticket.
- Trains to Salzburg run from the airport half hourly, leaving at past 03 and 33.
