Vienna Airport connection times

Does anyone know how long it take to connect from a schengen area flight to a non-schengen area flight? I am scheduled for 40 minutes, and do I have to go through any check points? Both flights are on Tyrolean Airlines.

Did you try looking at the VIE website? http://www.viennaairport.com/jart/pr...ve-mode=active 25 mins is the MCT. Also take a look at this thread http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/miles...onnection.html

You are gonna have to go through security, but if there is no delays, 40 minutes should be more the enough.

Sorry to repeat the question but my incoming flight arrive at 14:20 and the outbound at 15:30 but I am flying different carriers on different tickets and they will not check my bags through. So I will have to find a transfer desk (or print BP online) and pick up my luggage.

What are my chances with or without luggage?

With no delays, you should be fine either way. Which airlines?

i you arrive from non schengen by bus you have to wait up to 20min.
The luggage take up to 10-20 min after arife on the parking possition and you take ~5min -10min from baggage claim to the checkin area.
i you are a eco pax you have wait +30 on the checkin area.
Good luck...

If your connecting flight is in F and you have no baggage, even with ToGo's luck, you should be still fine

To save time, I will only carry hand luggage.

So 20 mins by bus to the Concourse building and then a 10 minute walk to my gate, does that sound like a correct summary?

Its bot a 20min bus ride. The bus driver waits until everyone is in the bus. The will take up to 10Min. When the bus parking is full you have to wait once again. And the border control are not the fast.

Thanks for that. But why would I need to go through border control if I am transiting from international to international?

Ok... then maybe I've been very lucky...

Although given 25 min MCT, wouldn't even just such a long bus ride mean that planes often have to wait for passengers...?
