A380 J Seats
Tried to find a consolidated post on this, sorry if one exists.
I have an upcoming flight in J. I realize the foot print is all roughly the same, though forward/backward. Are there any preferable sections or seats? Mini cabin, larger foot wells, more privacy etc.
It looks like my first leg only has single seats closest to the aisle, apart from 8a and k. Which appear to be blocked - anyone have any experience with these? are they made available at the airport?

They're made available to parents with infants or generally Platinum etc guests. However if you're early enough on the phone when it is opened up then you can request them.
Personal preference is always for a window for the extra privacy and the window storage but then that's why there aren't any left for you.
If you can then try to be as far forward as possible to limit engine noise and the toilet queue
