There is a roped off area in the Premium Lounge that is pretty well policed to keep the 'others' out...

One of the many difficulties with this is that some F passengers are not escorted into this 'roped off' area, perhaps because they are a hurry to use the spa or business facilities elsewhere in the lounge.

I was very politely stopped from going into the roped-off area.
It seems a bit of a let down for F passengers as they have to use the general lounge services.

Anyone visit the U.S. Preclearance lounge yet? Comfortable? Better than the regular lounge when it's a zoo? Wifi?
Traveling shortly and just curious to know if I should wait till the last possible moment to preclear, or is there an adequate lounge after U.S. Passport control?

As summer approaches, has anybody heard anything about the opening date of the first class lounge? I can't understand why its opening is taking so long. Maybe EtihadHelp can reply, as long as they don't send the link to their list of worldwide lounges.

I asked yesterday when passing through T3 (mainly for selfish reasons as I have an F flight later this month) and was told October! Maybe.
The lady added that EY didn't want to publicly commit to a date which will, no doubt, slip again and further disappoint passengers.

Frankly I think it will be case of "I'll believe it when I see it open".
For late night and short'ish flights ex-AUH (e.g. Europe/Asia), there doesn't seem to be much of a benefit of booking F vs J at the moment, provided you are able to get decent sleep on the J seats.

I'm in the roped off section right now. Free wet shave, massage, shoeshine, great raindrop shower, and good buffet make this a good lounge till the F lounge opens. No a la carte ordering and sleep room are the down sides.

Overcrowding aside, I don't think many will argue that it's a bad J lounge. It's very good, actually. But there is nothing extra in F over J until the new lounge is done.
