Abu Dhabi Lounge Update‏

Starting 16 July, Pearl Business Class guests can enjoy a dedicated Business Class Lounge at Abu Dhabi International Airport, Terminal 1.

To make way for this exclusive enhancement to your Etihad experience, work will commence to convert the existing Diamond First Class Lounge in Terminal 1 from 10 July.

Guests flying Pearl Business Class out of Terminal 1 can continue to use the Business Class Lounge in the same terminal. Diamond First Class guests and Etihad Guest Gold Elite members can enjoy the world-class service and hospitality at the dedicated Diamond First class Lounge at Terminal 3.

So next time you fly through Abu Dhabi in Pearl Business or Diamond First Class, enjoy a place to relax created especially for you.

Warm regards,

The Etihad Guest Team

This is good news.

The old configuration of split F / J lounges led for a crowded experience on the J side. There just simply was not enough space.

For a carrier that is trying to develop itself with AUH as a connection point, this is welcome news indeed.

True- but you'd think this announcement will mean a better, more improved F section in he new facility.

No need to walk or be escorted through the plebs like me to get to the F portion of the lounge or to get to the Six Senses Spa massage. .

Doubt that. It simply means thet all F pax will have to use T3 F lounge which will now not feel as exclusive the two lounges did before as it will be more crowded.

any update on the etihad lounges at terminal one? The Abu Dhabi airport says that the terminal one lounge is a first class lounge and there is no business class lounge in terminal one. Is this information incorrect?

No this is not correct in fact it is the exact opposite! I was there a few weeks ago, they have just taken the first class sign off the door and opened all areas to J pax. There is still a six senses spa and tbh I found this lounge much quieter then the zoo in terminal 3!

Totally agree - T3 lounge is a "why bother?" venue TBH!

Is the lounge before or after going thru preclearance for the United States? If before, is there a lounge on the after side? I'm concerned about the reports of the very lengthy process to go thru US immigration, with no provisions made to expedite those in premium classes or even those of us with Global Entry.

Unless you have access to the first class lounge, which is quite nice!

Before, but the lounge people apparently tell you the right time to leave before your flight. Or you can take the flight around 2 am and then not have to worry about preclearance (flight 103).
