Need help from a PVG specialist

Next week I will arrive at Shanghai PVG in Terminal 1 (an international flight from Busan) and have to connect to EK 303 leaving from Terminal 2.

Is there any PVG specialist who can tell me if I have to go through Immigration at Terminal 1, shuttle to Terminal 2 and go through Immigration again? Or is there a possibility to transfer between Terminals airside without this double hassle?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

I'm not a PVG expert but did you try googling? A quick search shows lots of (slightly outdated) information indicating you do need to clear immigration even for some T1-to-T1 connections, so T1-to-T2 would very likely require this. However China does have a TWOV policy for many countries:

This airport website appears to corroborate this: http://en.shairport.com/2012-05/26/content_15888498.htm

AFAIK you do go through immigration and then walk to the other terminal. You'll probably need to retrieve any checked bags and check them again in the other terminal.

Yes you have to clear immigration and customs in T1 arrivals, and collect your baggage and walk to T2 to check in for your second flight. About a 15 minutes walk via moving walkways from T1 to T2.
