Plat Skywards confirmed ticket
Hi guys,

Quick one, first post here from a learner...
Whats your experience with Confirmed tickets (Eco or BC) offered for Skywards Plat members even on a full flights?
Never done it, just got some Plat friend he uses if often (last minute booking) so i just called EK call center and they can book/conf me a Flex Plus on a already overbooked EK flight.

Any experience on this?

Well it's pretty much what you said. It' s a full fare (Flex Plus) ticket in Y for Gold or Y/J for Plats. Pricey and need to book it >48h ahead of time. What kind of "experience" are you looking for?

Thanks for the comment. Well , I am just checking if the the ticket can be booked before the 48hrs prior to flight, if it's a full confirmed ticket and how exactly it works on a full flight . Do they remove some other PAX to get me in ?
Will check the J option since it's a 8hrs flight and chance to use miles for upgrade will be null on a full flight .

It HAS to be 48hr or more before the flight. They oversell flights generally, this would just be one more oversell. They count on a no-show or re-accommodate someone on another flight, basically.

So my Eid break busy season dates would def fall on that criteria !

yes, but there aren't that many flights when I see Y and J zero'd out - EK are very happy to overbook.

You clearly don't fly to India (Y0) or SA (J0) enough But then today you don't seem to be in the mood to fly anywhere with EK

Zero'd out usually means they are already waaay overbooked.
