Emirates at Auckland
On July 20, 2016, I arrived on a QF flight into Auckland and I noticed three EK A380's and one EK 777 parked at gates. Is that normal for early afternoon?

Yes, EK has flights from AKL to MEL/SYD/BNE/DXB and CHC-SYD.

From October the daily AKL-DXB non-stop service will also become an A380, so there will be 4x EK A380 in AKL at once. Has happen before when they subbed the 77L for an A380 in the past.
Probably making AKL only of the only airports outside of EK to have 4x EK A380 on the ground at once.
