Correct info was there earlier in the month. Was actually more excited (food wise) with the priority pass affiliated lounge near gate 10? that had bulgolgi on the buffet, and a first for me, a soft-serve ice cream machine. This lounge does close early though.
Yes, the Sky Hub Lounge in the East and West wings of the Main Terminal, accessible with Priority Pass, offers a very good food offering and I would typically go there instead of the KE/OZ lounges if I need to eat.

I just was shocked it beat a F lounge. I would of spent more time in there/ate a bit more.

Are there any decent pay per use lounges. Flying F next week but would rather pay for a decent lounge with no long hike vs using the current lounge for free. Another option I guess is the casino

Just the one that EK already pays for you to use.

I would recommend you just turn up at the last possible moment at the airport to check-in, but given the massive delays in processing passengers in the past few days - resulting from the changeover from at-gate security to central security, though the airport is going to great lengths to avoid blaming the one on the other - that would be a very very risky strategy.

I am surprised EK doesn't give access to the VIP Centre.

The casino and the current lounge are quite close to each other, but as you say, a long hike from where you pass through security/gates at AMS - I'd probably just go as late as possible and go to that bar by the G/H gate area! Do EK still give you the 15 EUR voucher?

LHR lounge closed for refurbishment until October

Just read on Business Traveller that the EK lounge in LHR is closed until October for refurbishment. Apparently we are to use the BA Galleries Club lounge (no First lounge access for F pax or Plats). According the quote BA hope that EK passengers will be impressed with BA hospitality. Having been in both lounges I can't see too many being impressed with the BA offering (although their First lounge is pleasant).

Typical! Flying EK buisness in 2 weeks time, had never been to the Heathrow lounge, was looking forward to seeing it and the nice views of the a380 it had.
Anyone used the ba galleries lounge before in t3.

Yep, a typical BA lounge. Little food outside the meal times. It's also a fair trek to the EK gates. No direct boarding, so you'll have to fight through the riff-raff.

Haha, 'the riff-raff'!
I was looking forward to direct boarding too, that's a shame! I've heard ba's food offerings aren't as good as what EK has in their lounge. I wonder if this is the only lounge they will be offering for use?

Relatives of mine who used the BA Galleries lounge at LHR a few weeks back described it as looking 'very tired' and over-crowded (though not 100% sure if this would have been at same terminal as lounge now being made available to EK pax ....)

Was the Emirates lounge in need of a refurb? Anything people would like to see different in the refurbished lounge?

It was - the EK lounge at LHR is one of the last to go to the new style lounges (cf. the LGW one) which has the faux brick/new seats/more power points/better food service area/new water feature. Overdue, I think (although not long overdue - the LHR lounge was perfectly adequate, especially given the other lounges at LHR T3, except VS!)

EK do have a habit of their refurbishments overrunning, at all stations though, so October is likely going to be December

More people at LGW then, if lounge access is a thing people would change airports for, which is fine, given there are 2 daily A380 from LGW and the lounge there is absolutely massive - twice, nearly three times as big as LHR!

I'm coming into AMS from FRA next week & have 4 1/2 hours before my EK flight. Does the lounge EK uses have showers?? Worse comes to worse I can take one in board after take off but I will actually be flying from JFK-FRA where I have a quick but important breakfast meeting. Then FRA-AMS & AMS DXB so by the time I get to AMS for my EK flight I will NEED that shower. I am thinking about changing my AMS-DXB flight to FRA-DXB but just cuz it's a first flex fare does not mean it's easy - since it's the first coupon EK wants to refund my AMS ticket & sell me a new ticket ex one FRA which I don't really want to do.
