FAQ 5 - Common Abbreviations on the EK Forum

Common Abbreviations on the EK forum

FT is full of abbreviations and acronyms. Life is easier when you learn the basics.

For example, if you post anything to do with a trip (ie you want to ask for help on a upcoming trip between Dubai [DXB] and Munich [MUC], it's a lot easier for everyone to standardise on airline terminology)

You can find all airport abbreviations here:

You can find all aircraft acronyms here:

EK Specific terminology:

ICE - refers to EK's standard Inflight Entertainment System (Information, Communications, Entertainment)
ICE Digital - refers to EK's new digital version of ICE (includes 1200 channels, larger screens in Y, newer control handset)
Skycruiser - refers to EK's first generation F-class seat
Weber - EK's new seating in Y
