Anybody know the reason why LY011 and LY315 were delayed today?

LY27 flight TLV to EWR was delayed 11 hours (it was 4X-ECC)
Thus, EWR/TLV flight was also delayed. Then, the plane was also late for its flight to LHR as LY315...
I guess there was a mechanical failure. Maybe someone knows more about it?

I hope you'll survive it, as the B757 feels much more cramped, compared to the B767

They must be short of B762, as i see it is being used tomorrow on to EWR

Nope, Had to postpone it, going probably to france the 06/04 for one day.
The US will have to wait until the 13/04! (Will do Mimona with a bunch of
ahskenazim in Vegas )

Anyway, i found it very nice from EL-AL's side that they took the time to
call me and told me that the plane was replaced and gave me the option
to select the seat on the 777... That's what i call service!
(I was flying with 2 friends and a baby, so i made sure in advance we get
goot seats in the 744).

Thanks,
Ebzed...

This also happened to my sister in March: downgrade from 762 to 757...

And my flight on April 2 CDG-TLV is 4X-ECB (and I was dreaming about ECE or ECF ), but at least, it is a 772

I was on 011 on 4/1 and they tried to make our flight leave 1.5hrs earlier than scheduled. I think they were trying to swap equipment with something in NY. We ended up leaving on time, instead of 1.5 hours early so not sure what happened in the end.

Welcome to FlyerTalk, NYTA!

I'm wondering if a master thread about delays might be better than starting a new thread everytime asking why?

Indeed, but it's also the minimum I would expect from ELAL as a TPL.
