Not in my experience. Maybe if you specfically ask, but when I travelled with infant 1-2 years ago there was no announcement to pre-board.

There is no announcement, but if you ask, you board in priority

Last week I went round trip from TLV to Barcelona. On both flights people with young children were boarded first. When I fly JFK to TLV and return, I fly business and have the foggiest idea who boards first. I wonder if those responding no, are even at the gate to know what happens when boarding first begins.

I can ensure you that I know what happens when boarding begins - we fly to Australia regularly, plus I fly on business at least once/month.

In my experience (which matches LY777) El Al do not board infants before business, as do other airlines such as BA, LH, SQ etc. They also do not always announce that families with infants can board with business. But if you ask or just turn up, they will let you board with business class/priority.

Different agents my have different procedures - consistency is not the name of the game with LY....

2035. You talk about boarding infants before business. (or not) The reason I have no idea what happens when I fly business is I am happily ensconced in the lounge and am more than happy to be someone who boards way after most of the aircraft has boarded. Interestingly I find that I am usually one of the first to board the business section. I am always confused as to why business folk would want to board before the other 300-350 passengers board ! After all the seat is not THAT comfortable!
