Arbel Lounge - Any Experiences?

Accidentally stumbled across this lounge at TLV the other day when waiting to pick up a friend. Tried to get in with my Priority Pass but told it's by payment only. Interestingly, if you pay $220 per person, you can do passport and security checks in the lounge before being escorted directly to the plane.

Anyone ever used this? Despite what the gate attendant told me, anyone know if it's possible to buy a membership?

I doubt that you can buy a membership since it is operated by the Dan Hotels chain which also operates the Dan and Masada lounges.

Additional information here.

Hmm, seems like a nice thing for my mother who hates airports/flying. Anyone been inside? Pictures, food available, etc?

I know many very wealthy people who don't waste money on such things. Some even fly in Y.

Freedom isn't free
I don't personally know anyone who is even moderately wealthy who will fly TATL in Y.

One of my best friends does. His rationale is that anything above Y is a waste of money and its only a few hours of inconvenience. He does, however, pay for exit row seats.

I have a friend whom I believe went through it the other week though I'm not gonna speak to him for a while so I guess I'm not much help. I'll try and remember to post back here when I do get round to asking.

Bring up an old thread...

This lounge is landside, next to the synagogue.

When I tried to access, they said payment only; price = $60 for 2 hours.

I think this lounge is included in one of the VIP packages purchased from TLV VIP service as an arrivals lounge. http://www.israelwelcome.com/airportvipservice.htm

I think its pretty funny that people have some need to spend 2000 GBP for the "VIP Lounge" at LHR, and stuff like this.
