ATL shortcut closure

ATL shortcut closure
When I last flew through ATL, the shortcut tunnel between gates B28 and C40 was closed. Does anybody know why? It used to be part of my "scenic route" between the A and E terminals when connecting to/from a TATL...

I've heard they're building / expanding the bag sorting room underneath B and are now using that tunnel to feed bags to it from C.
