Are planes taking off right now?
Hate to ask this here, but based on what happened in Boston, I would like to know if planes and TSA are operating normally...
Thanks and prayers go out to the people affected.

The ground stop is no longer in effect as of 1715L. http://www.fly.faa.gov/flyfaa/Airpor...jsp?q=bos&go=1 Listening to KBOS Clearance and ATC is confirming this and operations seem to be back online as usual.

I do not know for 100% certain. But I would be totally shocked if this was not the first to stop. Security must be at red with sniffer dogs everywhere.

I know from listening to the police radio, they took two canines from Logan and redeployed them near the blast site. Most cities don't have many EOD dogs, so they're forced to take resources from the airport.

I read that they reconfigured the runway usage so as not to have aircraft flying overhead the city - thus the need for the ground stop while they changed the flow of aircraft.
