Looks like DL doesn't know its nose from its tail in the first segment.

It was even gonna let me book it. Oddly enough, the return was normal. I really want to book and and complain to Delta I can't make my flight. Wonder if they'd give me any Skypesos....

Note that flight 17 is a "direct" flight from ATL-SYD with a stop-over in LAX. So it probably meant to book you on the LAX-SYD segment of this flight, but ending up showing the entire flight including the first segment out of ATL.

-6 minutes to change airports between LAX and ATL is definitely possible. Clearly you forgot about the time change. It is an expensive cab ride though.

When I saw the title, I thought someone was going to claim that the award calendar had been fixed.

Or that DL management had found a conscience.

Maybe it's time for a "Consolidated DL Time Travel Thread". There's been a few of these.

At least he's got 6 hours to get back to DTW for flight to LA after he flies to State College from there.

It's even worse than you may think. According to the screenshot, OP is traveling back in time, e.g August 23rd. OP is ~10 days younger.

I've had a few of these that I actually wanted to book and tried to follow through all the way to the end. At the final screen, after putting in CC info, it'll kick it back as unbookable.
