DL to add Y+ to INTL Fleet
http://www.airliners.net/aviation-fo....main/4972511/
In the linked thread, a poster confirmed the info is posted on DeltaNet.
Interesting times! I wonder if this will a UA E+ concept (more legroom, same service) or more along the lines of a new cabin offering (wider seats, better meals, etc). If the latter, this (at least to me) makes SWUs slightly more valuable because you can now "buy up" into YBM and if the upgrade doesn't clear, at least you're in Y+.

Except that if they charge M fare prices for a Y+ seat its still a huge ripoff. I have a hard time seeing people pay 3k+ for a Y seat with a few more inches of legroom when a LUT fare is under 1k.

True, I guess I am thinking of AF's Y+ pricepoints ($1500 - $1700, TATL) aka the M-fares of just a few years ago.

How about SWU's useable to upgrade to Y+ from cheaper fares? And YBM gets you Y+, then UG from there, or am I dreaming?
Funny, not even a hint of this at the DO...

If indeed this pans out, here's a suggestion to Delta: upgrade diamonds to Y+, preferably upon ticketing but if not, at check-in if seats are available.

I agree. I think the price points on the AF Y+ product are reasonable and (for those of us who by company policy have to fly Economy) justifiable on an expense report. Upgrade from Y+ to BE using SWUs would be a nice idea, as would upgrade from KQH to Y+ using SWUs. But who knows what DL will end up doing. After trying the AF Y+ last month I definitely think it is a great idea.

Perhaps one of our insiders here can confirm, but multiple people in the linked thread are confirming that this is posted on the internal delta news site.
