Delta plans RDU giveaway on Tuesday

Delta Air Lines will give away 40,000 frequent flier miles to a passenger on each of its 41 outbound flights at Raleigh-Durham International Airport on Tuesday, according to spokesman Paul Skrbec.
Jeff will be there too handing out cookies! (Maybe why a few FT's got a dinner invite)

Remember it's one person per flight and it is random.

You might want to take advantage of that risk-free cancellation. Its one pax per flight - not everyone.

Is this Delta's way of recognizing that 40k miles is the new 25k?

I'd quickly use that 24-hour cancellation policy Delta has Re-read the original post.

Don't laugh. The article quotes:

"Skrbec says that 40,000 SkyMiles would be enough for a passenger to trade for a free ticket to anywhere domestically."

Reminds me of the song by Brenda Lee and then later Juice Newton: Break It To Me Gently.

On Tuesday I'll be flying DL MKE to Baltimore.

(Another 40,000 miles up the junction!).
