Book AS Codeshare on DL Metal, upgrades for Delta GM?
I have to travel out to SEA from JFK for a wedding over July 4th weekend. The cheapest fare appears to be booking a codeshare through AS on DL metal. I am GM on Delta and have no status on Alaska. If I am not directly booked on DL but flying on DL metal on a codeshare ticket, then how do medallion upgrades and FF miles work? Does being ticketed on the AS flight number have any impact on DL medallion benefits? I am sure this has been covered, but I did not have much luck with the temporary google search engine. Thanks.
