Lunch in First from ATL-PVR?

I have heard of some people not getting lunch on this flight EVEN THOUGH it's over 1550 miles... Proposterous if true.

Anyone flown this route lately? What did you get?

Thanks, but I remember people telling stories of no meal on this flight. Can anyone confirm?

Flying to PVR next week on DL397/398 and have a decent shot at an upgrade. Delta.com doesn't specifically say Mexico or Puerto Vallarta on the first class dining page (I know it's not truly BE even though the seat map says so). Has anyone flown to PVR recently and if you did, was there a meal?

of course there is a meal. You can always go on www.delta.com to check which type of meal (if any) they will serve. DL 397/398 are lunch time flight and are consequently listed as 'lunch'.

All I received was drinks.... This was quite some time ago, but no food... However, if you look on the delta website now it shows that there is food! hooray!

It should depend not only on the distance but also the scheduled departure time.

This is very true. I flew a 9 something (PM) flight from ATL to SFO (approximately 2,100 miles) with no meal being served, due to it not being a dining hour.
