Can No Longer See Free Seats In Other Classes
I just noticed today that I can only see open seats in the class I am booked in (on Delta.com for Delta mainline flight).
If booked in economy, it used to be possible to see free seats in economy+ and first. In particular, for economy+ this was nice to check if it is worth it requesting an upgrade(and avoid getting "upgraded" from a nice exit seat to the last middle seat).
Is this a recent change? I don't remember seeing this last week. Or did I just catch delta.com on a bad day.

BTW my official quote from Delta PR folks on this issue was:
“As a result of a number of variables, customers may see fewer seats available for purchase in the post-purchase upgrade environment than were visible in the original shopping path.” – Delta Air Lines representative.

The issue started mid-May, but was impacting flights sporadically. Also, the exact phrase used was "a little bit" not "some time." Regardless, I think flyerCO's point was that this isn't new and it's already been discussed.

They got mad skills in the PR department! ;-)
I just wish they would fix it. It really is starting to bug me to have to do a dummy booking each time I want to see how many 1st class seats are open.

Has this just changed? I just booked a flight for 2 weeks from now, see all cabins/seats, if you hover or choose a seat in FC, it shows you the price to UG on that segments...

No, a number of us have reported being able to see seats in other classes when there are upgrade offers available (just as you are seeing). Why it affects some people and not others is a mystery.

If you have an upgrade offer available, then you can see the cabins. Once you purchase F, then you can't see the back. If you don't have a paid upgrade offer, then you can't see anything outside your cabin either.
