Mileage Upgrades - Priority and Availability
Looking at a ATL-JFK flight on a Wednesday morning in early September and then the 9pm LGA-ATL shortly after on a Friday. I'd really love to take these in F however I'm curious whether I should buy these outright or risk wait-listing for a mileage upgrade. I'm DM+Reserve but my companion will have no status so that makes me nervous about trying for an old fashioned complimentary (seeing as I don't even get those as is).
Yes, I realize if I really want F, I should pay for it, however, since these are odd travel days and times for Medallions I'm just weighing my options.
Also, has anyone found out what the upgrade priority is for Mileage Upgrades versus Complimentary versus Regional UG Certs?

This is what we know:
Before the gate, RUCs and mileage upgrades require OP or RP inventory, while free elite upgrades confirm into OU or RU.
Officially no mileage upgrades on day of departure, but some GAs do it if they know how and if there's time as well as an available seat.
At the gate, RUCs beat all other upgrade requests (except those who have purchased FC tickets but don't have FC seat assignment).
Also at the gate, there's no longer the OP/OU or RP/RU inventory class distinction and all open seats are available for upgrades.

Not on Delta's website, nor any other. Delta specifically demanded that ExpertFlyer stop showing its data. The only ways are to call/tweet, or to subscribe to a GDS.
