Alec Baldwin refuses to fly Delta again after getting booted from F to Y (MYTH!!)

Not yet posted? I can hardly believe it. I pulled this from the NY Dailynews.

http://www.nydailynews.com/entertain...icle-1.2095015

Baldwin had been booked on a Delta flight out of Salt Lake City International Airport to Kennedy with his pregnant wife Hilaria, and their 16-month-old baby, Carmen. But according to a source on the flight, the family - who were weighed down with lots of Louis Vuitton luggage - switched flights last minute and ran into problems.

Edited on 3/26/2015 - I am walking off DL 439 the other day (3/25), and none other then Alec Baldwin and family were waiting in the area of the planes boarding door and jetway for what looked like a private Porche ride to there car. They were eventually escorted down the stairs on the jetbridge to the tarmac where they got into two waiting Delta Porches and escorted away. The pilot came out to thank them for flying Delta.

This was after I posted the original thread nearly three months ago that AB would never fly DL again.

Me thinks his antics would be better suited for WN.

I'm a bit surprised actually. DL has a VIP list and all sorts of processes that are used to make sure these kinds of things don't happen (downgrades, missed connections, etc.)

There's even a computer application constantly scanning reservations for tickets that may have be purchased outside the usual channels and don't have the FF# to indicate VIP status. System is known as Brokaw internally and was named after an incident where Tom Brokaw was booked last minute without his FF# and ended up getting misconnected. He lit the airline up on air. I'm told the next day a bunch of C-Level folks threw a bunch of money at IT to make sure that never happened again.

Baldwin must not have made the cut. Though actors are used to flying in F. Even a character actor would belong to the guild and the contract states they fly F only.

Point of clarification: The contract was revised in 2010 to reflect FC only for all travel to sets that are minimum of 1000 mi away. Prior to that there were some pretty crazy things going on...I'll start a new thread shortly on this =)

Someone who posts here has a signature line that says . . . US is the airline of Ann Coulter. I think he'd feel at home there!

Does Alec have no sense of irony? This will probably HELP DL's business. (who would want to risk being on a flight with that entitled jerk?)

"entitled jerk" -> "over entitled" -> "UA 1K" :-)

I'd be happier not flying with a 16 month year old baby. Alec is relatively well behaved if he is just left alone.

(And no I am not anti family or anti baby - Just that if I can avoid a screaming kid, I take the opportunity.)

For those of y'all who complain ad nauseam about FCM and the lack of upgrades, look on the bright side: there will now be 1-3 more seats in F available for you on days when Alec is flying, because he (supposedly) won't be on DL.
