Is SkyMile useful for Canadian?

Is SkyMile useful for Canadian?
I am flying Delta/Alitalia/Air France soon. I think the total MQM will be 8000 miles (50% on AZ, 100% on AF). Does Skymile actually has anything for Canadian?
I am not frequent traveler, so I just want to spend this 8000 miles. If there is nothing worthwhile then I won't bother applying a card.

Not at 8000 miles. But with Skyteam flights and living in Canada DL is the best program to credit them to for as of now Skymiles does not expire.
As much as everyone carps about not getting awards at 25,000, I hardly have any issue getting YYZ US award tickets at that level for my family, many time more than one.
