How did N710DN operate PVG-DTW on both January 27 and 28 without turning back for Shanghai?

I don't want to be on board the flight when they find out (and it will happen, multiple times) that they have fewer BE than listed.
Any bets on the first FT report that it happens?
(I booked BE and ended in Y?!?!?)

I'm guessing they will show up on DTW-PVG/PEK/AMS which from my experience fill very few business seats (AMS more than the China flights). I doubt DXB, JNB or SYD will see these planes until the loaded date when they are only selling 38J.

Interesting, I didn't know they did this type of work in Greensboro. Who/what is there?

The 01/28 flight is a FlightAware glitch. N701DN operated PVG-DTW on 01/28.

Wow, DL moving so fast to remove BE seats. Probably will match up with the ability to use GPU's.

Are all 777s getting the extra Y seats? I thought only a portion of the fleet was supposed to.

Just noticed the seat map for my ATL-DTW flight on a 777 on the morning of 3/17 has been updated this morning to the new configuration. Looks like it continues on to PVG. The 3/16 DTW-PVG still has the old config, so this might be the maiden voyage of the new configuration?

Any chance someone could start a wiki thread like in the A330 modification thread? That's interesting to follow, though ending soon.

They will reduce 7 business seats from 777. It appears that A330 J cabin is safe. Additional info about the configuration of 777 can be found at http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/delta...7-changes.html
