Thank You Points to Hilton transfer Bonus till 12/31/13

You need to be a Citi AmEx user. Quite a limitation...

Go to Thank You network, Do More With Points, Transfer Points.

No mention of AMEX in the T&C; you do need a Citi ThankYou Premier Card account or a Citi Prestige Card.

As iBobi said, I don't think this is right. I do not have a Citi Amex card, and this offer shows up for me.

Uhm. These two things do not agree.

(And, anyway, is anyone still valuing HH points high enough to make this worthwhile?)

They do actually. The regular transfer rate is 1000:1500. This is in essence making it 10000:20000 if you transfer in increments of 10K compared to 10000:15000.

Bonus Points received through the offer in addition to the base redemption rate of 1 ThankYou Point to 1.5 HHonors Bonus Points. The Extra 5,000 Hilton HHonors Bonus Points will be received for exact multiples of 10,000 ThankYou Points transferred.
This could be useful depending on what you think is better: 1TYP = 1.25c for travel OR 1TYP = 2HH.

i.e. Is a HH point worth more than 0.6c?

I learned something new today. Thank you for that.

At least 0.5 or 0.6 cpp from HH is within the theoretical realm of possibility. Tho if you're paying that much for the points, what ROI do you need from redeeming them to make it worthwhile?

Not a bad deal!

20k Hilton could get me a $120-200 hotel potentially, and 10k TYP could only get me a $100 hotel.

How much would that hotel or its equivalent in another brand have been, as a priceline bid? Maybe $100?

The Hilton Colon hotel in Quito regularly sells for $160 to almost $300 a night and is only 20k Hilton points a night! That's great value for TYP. Or if you wanna get crazy, 20k Hilton points will get you 5 nights in Egypt if you have status...

2 nights at DT Kuala Lumpur.

1/2 a night at Hilton FCO and Hilton CDG.

It all depends where you plan to use your HHonor pts. There are still some very useful redemption but they are far and few in between and often away from people's usual travel paths.

Additional 5K (of 20K) doesn't come through immediately -
"The Extra Hilton HHonors Bonus Points will be posted to your Hilton HHonors Member Account within 30 business days".
