Metro airport codes (like NYC, CHI, etc.)

Does anyone have a list of airport codes that travel sites use to cover a metropolitan area?

I think that some examples are:

NYC - New York City
CHI - Chicago
DTT - Detroit
QHO - Houston (not recognized by CO or Expedia)

CO suggests using HOU for all of Houston, but then there's no way to say just Houston Hobby. The same goes for Dallas where DFW is suggested for all of Dallas. When you use that it will consider DAL in addition to DFW.

Thanks for any info!

Point of clarification:

The city code for Montreal is YMQ
and not YML (which belongs to Murray Bay, Canada).

However it is not necessary to use the city code. Montreal's Dorval airport is the only scheduled airport in service and most lines in from the U.S. use Dorval (YUL).
Montreal's Mirabel airport (YMX) is used "mainly" for charter flights (Air Transat etc for Florida and overseas.

Yup. YYZ and YTZ (City Centre). City Centre has flights from Porter Airways and used to have Jazz service.
