This has been happening way too much for FT events.
On Sunday I fell on steps and did painful damage to my kidney. I have not left the house since.
However congratulations FriendlySkies.

I was looking forward to seeing you! Feel better soon!

All you seniors need to be careful (said only half in jest) , especially in the weather. Falls are a big deal!

Regrettably, I am not going to make it this evening. My plan was to spend the night and fly back tomorrow morning in time for work at 1pm. Found out that I have to be at work at 11 and the flights to get me back in time just didn't work out. Hopefully this won't happen next time.

I went into the beer cellar downstairs and have decided to bring these beers:
  • Slapshot Brwg.'s McLaughlin's Red Eye Coffee Porter [5.8% abv - 22-ounce]
  • Unibroue Trader Joe's 2014 Vintage Ale [9% abv - 75 cL]
I wonder if it will put us in the new room. It could be, because this group has steadily elevated to thirteen diners, it may have to.

very good.

I'm bringing a bottle of Peruvian pisco, sweet/sour mix, orange bitters. (I fully realize that this doesn't make a Pisco Sour but I'm not mixing with egg whites for 10+ people)

IIRC we needed ice last time, I'll bring a cooler full. I'd assume the restaurant might have some as well.

I must say the faux pisco sours worked out quite well, very tasty. Of course the masterful stirring by the co-mixologist as well as the orchestrated ballet of our table's self drink serve just elevated the whole experience.

lots of fun, glad everyone could make it out on a chilly night.

I'm not quite sure what Henry added to the process, but they were tasty! Thanks for organizing. ^
