Poll: What are the most important ways we can improve FT? (choose as many as apply)
Hi all,
A short time ago we opened a "If I ran FT..." thread and asked for your answers.
This poll is the result. The choices represent the most-mentioned suggestions, and you're encouraged to select whichever ones are most important to you.
Note that comments from that thread regarding moderation are not present here, as this is meant to guide our technical staff. If you choose "other," please do not comment on moderation, as this exercise does not concern that aspect of the site.
Thank you,
-The IB FlyerTalk Team

Maybe automatic glossary tooltips for the most commonly used acronyms? Would make it more newbie-friendly to get through all the jargon.
I've been on other forums where this happens automatically anytime someone posts a recognized acronym. I know the feature exists in many forum software packages. Could it be done here?

Please get rid of all the commercial ads. Extremely annoying for all the serious members of this community. I do not want to be confronted with stupid ads on this specialized site too. It's bad enough ads are all over the internet already.

So....are the suggestions from that thread that did deal with non-technical issues being addressed elsewhere/later? ignored? something else? IB asked for our inputs and it seems like a courteous thing to tell us the disposition of those inputs. If not, I'm not sure why I'd bother responding to future requests for inputs and suggestions.

Make it possible to load an entire thread, so you can read it without having to go from page to page.

Get rid of VBulletin and get a better forum product like maybe InvisionPower Power or Xenforo
Far better for mobile view / security / Google listing / user experience etc.

Re: the like button. This was discussed in Talkboard previously. While the poll itself got a lot of likes (pun intended!), if you look at the actual discussion (785 posts) there were strong feelings against it (as well as for it) & it wasn't the slam dunk that the poll suggested/which is why it was tabled. It might be of interest to IBobi/IB.

My guess is if it came to like vs. better mobile or better search function, like would not be in the top 2
Cheers.

I quite like the functionality of the mobile site, but page loading is slow, and it kills my battery.
