Finally tapped into the Avios I've been saving up (Plus some other programs). Flights completely booked Arrive evening of the 12th and leave on the 16th. No time for Seoul DO since my routings take a few days each way
I got you beat by 8K miles but the carriers are not as nice. Cant list the routing though so you will just have to trust me

I am definitely interested in this Do - Japan is one of my fave countries. Oh, and you had better add Mr Fifa as he would never forgive me if he was left out!

Flts to Japan have booked for awhile and were based on prior year's timelines which means I'm arriving on Thurs evening, missing that evening's soiree.
Hopefully, I'll be able to move my trip up a day!
Looking forward to my 1st Japan DO! ^

As posted in last year's thread I have an outbound booked- currently CX TPAC into NGO (no HND/TYO space yet).
Waiting for AS to start JL redemptions for the return I think
...of course if going via Korea...hmm...

Awed.
Oh.
Here I was logging on to FlyerTalk in order to refer in this blog post from Tokyo Cheapo on how to get to Sapporo.
If I am any way proficient this summer and fall, I'll get the soccer repowriter credentials I need to get to Tokyo | Osaka | Yokohama for the FIFA Club World Cup in December.
But I will definitely resume looking for cheap flights to Tokyo in mid-April. {A note for U.S. Citizens: If you are out of the country on 15 April, you get an automatic extension on filing your 2016 Federal tax return.}
Mark me as close to a "yes" without it actually being a yes for now.

A Double Do! Yes Yes count me in on both.
Now I just have to figure out where I will be flying in from
I'll just have to do it the FT way, find a good flight and that is where I will travel from.
Any suggestions?

As I start thinking about next year's travel, this (plus the post DO) is making the short list. Quite interested! I've spent all of about 3 hours in Japan and never been to Korea.
Edit: quite interested; also if there are any detours to Japanese whisky distilleries that would be welcomed by yours truly

You can put me down as confirmed for both the DO and post-DO.
Just confirmed my booking on ANA, arriving Apr. 10 and departing the 19th.
Edit: booked at the Hilton Tokyo. 200k points for 5 nights works out to be 1.1 cpp at current rates. Awesome value, especially since I'm Diamond and will have lounge access.
