We should have a competition to guess the age of the photo at the top of this page. Got to be at least 10 years old !
I shall hopefully be around, current uncertainties permitting, and I'm happy to help out if I can. I will be taking my first EK flight in about 5 years next week
On a foodie note, this is fun: http://www.fryingpanadventures.com/#!summer/c1gyl

Hi all,
There seem to be a few tentatives so far. I need definites
Could I ask that people say what events they'll be definitely attending? As follows :-
Yes - Dinner at Sukhothai (Le Meridien Dubai)
Yes - Friday Brunch at Traiteur (Park Hyatt Dubai)
No - Afternoon Tea at Skyview Bar (Burj al Arab)
Yes - Bateaux Dubai Dinner Cruise (on Dubai Creek)
I'll need at least 10 confirmed participants for each event before I book it.
I'll give it until the end of March before I start culling events (or the whole thing!).
Cheers

I'd definitely be in for either brunch or afternoon tea or both.

>> brunch and afternoon tea could well be done on the same day
Have you been to a Gulf-style brunch before ? Firstly, it's an after-lunch event and secondly, you'd need the rest of the evening to sleep off the obscene volume of food and booze that most people manage to consume.
DYKWIA ... thank you for your efforts, but I wonder whether the slow take up is due to UA/DL/etc dropping their Gulf services and hence reduced MR opportunities, as well as the general economic malaise here ?
I've done the Burj and bateaux before, so:
Yes - Dinner at Sukhothai (Le Meridien Dubai)
Yes - Friday Brunch at Traiteur (Park Hyatt Dubai)
No - Afternoon Tea at Skyview Bar (Burj al Arab)
No - Bateaux Dubai Dinner Cruise (on Dubai Creek)
I'm happy to help out, answer questions or act as advisor / tour guide for people who would like to do other things in Dubai.
