Anyone up for hump day drinks?

If you in the Dulles Airport area or are among those willing to venture out west (thats outside of the beltway for you inner beltway folks ) SirflysALot is in town and a happy hour seems to be the right thing to do to welcome him to Loudoun County.

Since he is staying in Sterling, I thought I'd find a place local to him for a little happy hour fun.

The place is OFaolains an Irish pub off or Route 7 about a mile east from the Rt 7 & Rt 28 interchange. It's about 8 miles north (up Rt 28) from IAD or ~15 miles west of the beltway out Route 7.

I think we will start about 6 p.m. although we can adjust accordingly if people are coming from the other side of the beltway (I shudder at the thought of being an inner loop guy)

I don't always check community so feel free to PM me during the day, I'll be in Omni LOL

Damn, finally one in my area, except that I coach Special Olympics basketball on Wednesday evenings. I can also recommend "Ned Devines" in Herndon, just a couple of miles from IAD as a good location (it's co-owned by a fellow expat-Aussie).

Curious, so are you reserving a table in the dining room, or will we be in the bar? So far it doesn't look like we're too big for the bar, assuming there's not already a crowd in there for some game.

I was just planning to be at a table in the bar area. My "guess" is that on a Wed evening around 6 p.m. it shouldn't be too crowded.

It was fun to meet you all with good beer, food and even trivia. Then there was one of you who've I have known since 2006 when our kids played T-ball together except I didn't know you were a FT'er which was really a wow moment

Hopefully we can do this again sometime soon.

I also want to send out a big thanks to Whlinder for sending gifts even though he couldn't make it
