Booked tickets. I arrive SDF at 11:30 AM Friday and I'll drive down (with a quick stop in Frankfort to see the capitol) to Lexington after that. Leaving first thing Sunday. Can't wait for Friday dinner and Saturday fun times!

If anyone is interested in splitting a room to save costs PM me. I'm a good roommate, I promise.

Second weekend in June, Beer Cheese Festival in Winchester, KY!

http://www.beercheesefestival.com

Wash it down with local niche soft drink Ale-8-1, which has tours by appointment Friday mornings. 20 miles from LEX; might be worth considering:

Since you'll be in Frankfort, stop by Buffalo Trace Distillery a couple of miles away from the Capitol for a tour and tasting before driving to LEX.

See you in LEX!

That's a good suggestion! It IS the Bourbon DO after all.

Gotta get them in the south. Same goes for biscuits and gravy, preferably made by some 75-year-old lady.
I did live in Georgia for a while - grits, along with fried ocra, green fried tomatos etc.

I've been wondering if the ladies/lady with the beer blog write-up his beer?
