I booked it a day or two ago at the $79 rate... the terms (at least for me) allowed for penalty-free cancellation by day of arrival.

Mine appeared that way too, though I have no plans to cancel it.

I believe the terms stated by the organizers supercede any terms imposed by the hotel. Just so you are not surprised....

Is the Registration still going out on February 1,2012. Also, does the sign up for the workshops happen in the late Summer?
I was way too late to sign up for the seminar last year but managed to book the hotel room for this years seminar.

We are finishing the schedule now and working on the registration site. I expect to start registration in February.

I was able to book Friday, but not Saturday. Looks like I am splitting up my stay.

If its truly oversold i hope i don't get walked. I'm sure people will cancel last minute anyways but its always a chance. Also I accidentally booked without entering my CC. I assume i need to call as i cant find where to add the CC number after the fact.

Sounds great but I hope Beaubo does his great presentation on award bookings that we were taking pictures of last October.

So with the sale of your site done, is the Chicago Seminar now going to be "The Chicago Internet Brands Seminar"?
This is actually a serious question. Many of us will not want to your now corporate event if that is going to be the case.

Thanks for the question. It will not be the Internet Brands Seminar. Our hobby is bigger than both of the forums and I made this point clear to Randy at Milepoint and the folks at Internet Brands I want this to be an all inclusive volunteer event for all in our hobby. Both have agreed.
In fact, I've asked Randy again to close the show and am awaiting his response AND we need both these forums to help sponsor the event. The food cost went up and the points guy and I want to keep the registration as close to the same as last year as possible.
The name of the Event is Chicago Seminars 2012 and all are welcome.
