SIN Do 2011 January 14-16, 2011 Singapore, SG
This is the planning thread for the 2011 SIN DO. A current listing of the events is in post 2 of this thread and attendees are in post 3. PM me with any questions or to be added/updated in the attendees list.

Here is a listing for the events as they stand...
Friday 1/14...
9:30 AM-2:30PM: Singapore Changi Airport Event. See this post for further details. Eightblack is coordinating this event and he will coordinate on gathering all the required info.
MEETING PLACE: Terminal 2 - Starbucks
Tour time: 9.30am - 2.30pm
Other Lunch: For those missing the Airport Tour, we can meet up the Grand Hyatt and head to La Pau Sat hawker center. This is last minute, so PM me so I'll know who to expect .
5:00 PM: Club lounges, if you don't have access to one PM me
8:30 PM: Meet for cocktails at the Concorde Hotel (Formerly Le Meridien) on Orchard Road. We've met in the lobby the past few years and they have a decent lobby bar.
Midnight: Meet at Newton Hawker Center. I imagine we'll leave the Concorde around 11:30 or even a little earlier so we have time to grab enough tables. Cold Tiger beer will be waiting for people getting in from the HKG and NRT connections around midnight. The location of Newton should be perfect with a relatively short taxi ride from the IC or Conrad, or the SMRT (Subway) is an option from the City Hall stop to Newton. It's a 7 minute ride and stops running at about 11:50 PM. The SMRT (Subway) from the Concorde leaving from Somerset stop to Newton is about a 5 minute ride and the trains stop running at about 11:51 PM. If you don't take the train a taxi is the best option. I'll get a copy of the schedule as the DO approaches.
Post Hawker Center: In the past there are usually a few people that go and do some mini-bar partying into the morning hours.
Saturday...
-Daily Activity: Trip to Batam, ID: We will take a ferry that departs at 10:50 from Harbour Front terminal and return by 6:15 PM. We should be at the ferry terminal at least 30 minutes before departure to allow time for immigration/customs and to check in with the ferry company.
Please see this post for more details on the trip to Batam.
-Lunch: For those optong out of the Batam Tour, Downunder girl is coordinating a trip to the HILTON High Tea/Lunch. See this post
-Afternoon: There will be beer drinking along Boat Quay. bseller is coordinating this. See this post.
-Dinner:Long Beach UDMC, East Coast Seafood Centre location at 8:00 PM, please PM me if you plan to attend so I can give a rough number of the attendees. We will meet in the lobby of the Grand Hyatt or Conrad at 7:350 PM for those wishing to share transportation.
-Drinks afterward: Venue TBD

-Canopy Walk: 10:00 AM, we will meet at the Grand Hyatt lobby and take taxis over. For those at other hotels, if someone would like to coordinate meeting up at the Conrad, PM me and I will add your name to the thread.
-Lunch: Muthu's Curry: 1:00 PM
-Afternoon:Trip to Sentosa followed by beers at Boat Quay at 4:00 PM
-Dinner: 8:00 PM Straits Kitchen: Grand Hyatt. $48 SGD + 10% service charge. This is a buffet/hawker food style place that was featured on No Reservations.
Monday...
Lunch: Banana Leaf Apollo at 11:30 AM
Leave SIN and head to the Bali Post DO
Everyday...

put me in the of course category. I had a whole lot of fun at this one. So I'll be coming back.
sorry to everyone, I'll be sending pm or posting in the threads to thank you all tomorow. It was great to meet you all and I had an amazing time.
My mouth is just watering thinking of the seabass we ate in KCH at the top spot food stalls. So I'll probably make a quick trip post do to enjoy that food again. I'll have to check the schedule to figure out if there are any late flights out of KCH although the 4 points was a great hotel.
