San Francisco dinner on Friday, January 8
Hi Folks:
I'll be in town for the weekend and would love to have dinner with any FlyerTalkers that might be around on Friday, January 8. If all goes as planned I'll land at SFO just before 5PM, so I propose dinner at 8PM. And I'm talking about a legit San Francisco dinner, as opposed to the usual Burlingame dinners I host. I'll be staying at the IC (888 Howard).
Dinner will be at Tropisueno at 9PM for a party of 20 under the name "Ben." Hope to see some of you there!
Confirmed:

Sorry, I'll still be in Buenos Aires. If it is going to be a small group without a budget too restricted (but nothing in the expensive department) I think that Town Hall or Salt House would make for a fun and delicious meal, both not terribly far from the hotel.

possibly. i have a 6am flight to den (and then on to bos for a same day turn 'n burn) the next day (1/9) so it might just give me a reason to stay up all night

Town Hall is indeed nice Another nice place if the group is small would be the House, although that is near North Beach.

Thanks, looks like a fun crowd so far! Did you guys have a preference as far as time goes? While I'll likely be tired either way, the later the better for me (since I'd love to go the gym and shower before dinner, but then again I'm flexible). And it sounds like DCBob might be able to join us for the tail end of dinner and/or drinks if we have dinner late. So what do you folks think?

Count me in.
As far as time is concerned: later is better since I can avoid the rush hour commute from Oakland to the Peninsula.
I'd suggest Mexican, but I have a feeling we're personas non grata there.
