Something more is going on there. The employee has since resigned? Unless that employee had an active part in bypassing security (i.e. intentionally let the woman past without screening her), as opposed to simple incompetence, he'd most likely be fighting any discipline with the help of the union. Given past history of security breaches and foul-ups, it's unlikely that the employee would have been fired or even severely disciplined unless he intentionally, knowingly, broke procedure or law. It's not like he was even suspended without pay - he was transferred to non-screening duty. Which, if you think about it, means that nothing really changed for him...

And TSA will retrain. As necessary. To ensure compliance with SOP. As Shrek once said, "Yeah, right! Like that's ever gonna happen! What a load of..."

For once, it appears that TSA isn't going to hold pax accountable for TSA's mis-steps.

Odd story. I agree - if the employee just screwed up (asleep, away from his/her assigned station, seen on tape being distracted by his/her cellphone while the pax walks by), then s/he either gets re-trained/slap on wrist or, highly unlikely, gets terminated.

This sounds more like a senior person at the checkpoint used his/her authority to help a pax bypass security - like Minetta Walters, BDO, BUF did on multiple occasions.

How it did happen? She's trying to get through at security without screening and she sneaks into a plane without tickets. This time she got arrested and she's banned from airports. Like what stowaway lady that she got arrested by last 2 months ago. She was not supposed to be there.
