Travel Protections With Chase CC

Hi Everyone,

I recently purchased a Virgin Atlantic flight earlier this month for about $2500. After the Brexit, the cost of the flight has dropped substantially to $2000. Does Chase supply any sort of protection for flight price drops? I know they have purchase protection, but I can't seem to figure out if that protects flight purchases...I think this is the correct forum, but please redirect if necessary. Thank you.

Are you sure that the fare declined? Or did VS open up more availability in a bucket that was sold out when you purchased?

Purchase Protection is not Price Protection, which is a separate benefit.

Read here: https://cdn.f9client.com/api3/file/1...402ac48cf0d66f

What is not covered?
Price Protection does not cover the following items:
• Animals and living plants
• Boats, automobiles, and any other motorized vehicles and their
motors, equipment, and accessories
• Cell phone service agreements and cell phone contracts
• Items advertised or shown as price quotes, and bids or final sale
amounts from a non-auction Internet site
• Items returned to any store and layaway items
• Items previously owned, sold “as is,” and refurbished items
• Items purchased for resale, professional, or commercial use
• Items purchased outside of the United States
• Jewelry, antiques, collectible items, rare or one-of-a-kind items,
special order items, custom items, and tailored items
• Manufacturer or merchant rebates
• Perishables, services, consumables, and limited-life items including,
but not limited to, rechargeable batteries
• Price differences involving manufacturer and/or merchant rebates,
shipping and handling fees, and sales tax, if any, are not covered by
the Price Protection benefit
• Traveler’s checks, cash, tickets, credit or debit cards, and any other
negotiable instruments

Sorry, it declined by $250, but I bought 2 tickets, so $500 total. Doesn't look like Chase or Virgin will refund or give a voucher for the fare difference, which was to be expected. Figured it was worth an ask.

Do you mean coverage if she cannot travel due to complications -or- do you mean coverage for treatment if complications occur while traveling?
