Data point -- I applied for Marriott Premier today and got "requires further processing". Called the reconsideration line. They told me I had 6 chase CCs already with a total credit line of $XXk. (CSP, BA, Freedom, Amtrak, United Explorer, Ink Bold.) Asked how much of a credit line I needed on Marriott; I said $Xk. They said they could approve it if I moved that credit line from another card and gave me a choice of which one. I picked the one I used least, and was approved for my 7th chase card.

Plan to get the United 55K offer soon and close the personal Southwest, I also may close CSP and get MC version. I'd also like to get Hyatt/Marriott/Fairmont in the future and reapply for the BA card which I last had two years ago.

I would be curious to know the total CLs Chase has extended. My personal cards
have total CL of 25k. Plus 5k for Ink. Chase required me to reallocated
credit after 3rd card.
