Cathay Pacific credit card in the USA?

Cathay Pacific has a rewards credit card agreement with Citibank in Hong Kong,
American Express in Canada. But these cards aren't availble to Americans! Does anyone know of a way to get a Cathay Pacific rewards credit card from a US based back?

Since the question is about earning CX Asia Miles via credit card spend, I'll move it over to the Cathay Pacific forum...

it's not a CX-branded card, but I think the Starwood card is probably the best bet...

I attended the AMEX/BDO/CX credit card 'roll out' event this week here in The Philippines. In time you will see CX introduce cards in all their markets.
But right now you need to move your Amex points to the Starwoods Card and then to CX.

Simply using AMEX *wood card - 1:1 conversion + 5000 bonus Asia Miles every 20000 points conversion (if that has not been changed).

Just called AMEX. Regular MR points can be transferred to your AMEX SPG card. (I had no idea!!!) They then become SPG points. The ratio is 3:1, so 30,000 MR points become 10,000 SPG points on transfer.
