Pier J Lounge re-opening June 2016

Anyone got any updates on the Pier J lounge? Still on track for 'Q2 2016'? I have a flight in the third week of May, wondering if it will be ready then..

The Pier J Lounge?

Anyone have additional information on when this lounge is suppose to open? CX's website states 2nd quarter 2016. I'll be traveling through HKG a few times in July and August in J so it would be nice to try the new lounge out.

This better be true !!!!!!!! I'm connecting through HKG that night. If it's gonna be open that night, 16 hours in PE would definitely feel less sad

Pier J Lounge re-opening late May 2016

The excellent Australian Business Traveler site has a good article on the re-designed HKG Pier Business Lounge due to open before the end of May 2016:

Unfortunately this article is jumping the gun and shows nothing of the new J lounge. It just publishes photos from the F lounge to give an "idea" of what's to come.

However, let's use this thread as discussion for when the the J Pier reopens.

Because there are no pics available yet ... it's more about what we'll see in the new lounge, what's influencing the design etc.

Pier J will be reopening its door on 20th May, next Friday. Also, I have been informed that Gate 16 lounge will be closed from July onwards for renovation. Finally!

Just in: The Pier Business Class lounge won't be open until early next month.

But, here are first pics and details to whet your appetite...

At the same time, The Pier Business Class Lounge will sport its own unique identity with Cathay Pacific describes as being "inspired by Hong Kong street life."
Not sure what part of HK street life I want brought into the lounge....maybe CX is setting expectations that this lounge is going to be crowded
