I just think the kind of the behavior is just embarrassing. On one hand, I like my priority privileges and the bottle of water that comes with the greeting.

Often, I'm kind of just relieved to be treated like a regular passenger with no real special treatment; I don't really want the unnecessary attention.

I guess some people just like it and they do anything for the attention.

so 4 pages of whingeing kind of explains why CX and BA are rearranging their unmanageable Club benefits

The point is DMs do not have this benefit and it's the GA who don't want confrontation that are allowing these DYKWIA types to foster.

Just tried WUH. As WUH doesn't have bridge in the international terminal, all flights are parked outport. For J/SL+ passengers they have a separate gate and a separate VIP bus with strict priority only enforcement (of course the VIP bus leaves the gate first )

Mmmm, maybe CX ought to really go PPS style membership where the PPS members get to board before the F passengers.

My flight out of PVG only had two!

The DYWIA DM took it upon himself to create a new queue after seeing how long the standard priority line was.
My experience flying PVG-HKG (which is like probably 50% of my regional flights) is that there is almost always a GA who has that OWE/DM sign, and sends the OWE/DMs to board in parallel with the standard J/MPC line.

(HT Flyformiles/Ng Chun Ting) HKG seems to have adopted four-line boarding:

If a DM or OWE traveling with companion(s) who does not have status assuming both in economy can they both line up at the First/OWE line or one in the economy and the other in First?

Both First. I remember a post in CX Secrets asking how many people can tag along a MPO member. I think a whole clan was tagging along one GR in that post but just one companion is certainly fine.

Yeah I've been wondering about the currency of these photos. However I swear the four-queue wasn't there last month.

SL is in J

Ruby, by OW rule, doesn't entitle to priority boarding... Only entitles to J class check-in counter

Previously, the four queues are
F/DM
J/GO, SL, GR
PEY
Y

Now it's
F/DM
J/GO, SL
PEY/GR
Y

It's more rational
