Tell them that you want to see actual suites with doors that close and electronic window shades.

No rear-facing seats please!

100% NO rear facing seats.

- Electronic window shades is a must
- Closing doors aren't a must depending on cabin layout

1) they had the guts of making the cabin more open. I bashed that.

2) i believe electronic shades will then be an industrial norm in 202x...

I am down for Monday the 26th.
Strange approach from a market research company who took lots of details from me but have yet to send me details of where I'm meant to go for my chat with them (other than to Cathay Pacific City). Glad to hear it's a real event and not just a data-gathering exercise!

Isn't that Etihad on their A380 First Class Apartments (excluding their Residence)? Their 787 are all forward facing.

On the Etihad A380, the configuration is 1-1.

Excluding 1A/C (which is the Residence and forward facing), the configuration is as follows for their First Class Apartments:

Row 1: Seat 1H - Aisle Rear Facing
Row 2: Seats 2C/H - Aisle Forward Facing
Row 3: Seats 3A/K - Window Rear Facing
Row 4: Seats 4A/K - Window Forward Facing
Row 5: Seats 5C/H - Aisle Rear Facing

(See seatmap on Seatguru http://www.seatguru.com/airlines/Eti...irbus_A380.php to see what it looks like).

Rows 3A/4A, 3K/4K and possibly 1H/2H can be joined together when two people are traveling together.
