Are there any hints at to what routes may be involved in this? I'm guessing all US routes to HKG?

My guess is US to Asia but no there is no clue given...but I was wondering how cheap can the fares go? I might consider buying it if they give us an ex-TPE I fare price

Don't get your hopes too high with deep discounts especially when they will charge you an arm an leg with their surcharges.

I don't mind paying for the current level of YQ at all and wouldn't call it costing an arm and a leg either

Well, my company pays for my Y tickets already, so personally I'm hoping for a steep discount for W or J tickets. I will grab a bunch of those in a heart beat.

Before CX Boy have a chance to do this, I will jump in and say this is another proof that premium economy isn't selling

Kidding aside I hope there are more than just the premium economy deal

Let's see if I will be correct or not. The sale will be:

1. ORD-HKG in Y

2. An all-in price not more than USD$1,000.

3. FFP Accrual Eligible (AM/MPC only)

4. 30 luck guys will get upgrade to PEY

when you think of black friday you think of deep discount and $1000 is hardly deep discount IMHO esp if you can only earn miles on AM I hope you are wrong

It really depends on how many seats they want to push.

When CX's fanfares for HKG-ORD is about HKD$5,000 all-in (USD$645), I will say with AM/MPC miles accrual, the range of USD$645-1,000 is a fair guess.

If CX wants to do Doorbuster (Busting a B77W door ), CX would have disclosed the deal already to attract internet traffic. Based on that wisdom, the sale is not going to be as "big" as you think.

Based on prior promotions, only AM/MPC accrual seems to be standard (it can be worse...you know...)
