Award booking for specific room type?

Award booking for specific room type?
'Red' newbie to CC - I'm looking at a points booking for the Country Inn & Suites in NYC. For the dates I need I'm offered a Studio Suite for 57k, the 1 Bed Suite for 10k + $111 or $170/night.
Would really prefer the 1 Bed Suite for 57k, is it likely they would be able to offer it in place of the studio if I call or are they likely to say no?

They will likely say no to a straight swap of room type but may offer a cash upgrade option. I have been offered this in other places, so it is within the hotels discretion to be able to do this. It should be worth a try
